My Approach to Science Tutoring Chemistry • Biology • Physics | KS3, GCSE & A-Level I offer engaging, personalised science lessons designed to help students truly understand the subject—not just memorise facts. My goal is to build confidence, develop independent learning skills, and support academic success. Teaching Style & Methodology I take a student-centred approach, adapting each lesson to the learner’s needs, pace, and preferred learning style. I focus on: - Breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable concepts Using visual aids, diagrams, and real-life examples to deepen understanding - Encouraging active participation through questions, problem-solving, and discussion - Providing regular feedback and assessment checks to track progress - For exam preparation, I integrate past paper practice, exam technique coaching, and targeted revision strategies. Lesson Structure A typical session lasts 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the student’s age and focus level. Lessons are structured to include: - A warm-up or quick review - Teaching and explanation of core content - Interactive tasks or guided practice - A short recap and Q&A - Optional homework or revision advice My Qualifications & Experience - I hold a Degree in Structural Molecular Biology and a BSc in Professional Studies (Business Development) from Birkbeck College, University of London.
