Students that I tutor learn quickly and easily because I am patient and caring. I tutor dyslexic learners, I am a public speaker and a writer. I have tutored for over 20 years with amazing success. Students requesting tutoring in reading start with phonics, letter sounds, letter blends, word attack, reading fluency and move to comprehension smoothly. Lots of practice and positive feedback helps build confidence. The same is true for writing and speaking. Clear thinking and practice with postive feedback works well in all cases. Students seeking help in writing and speaking are supported in organizing thoughts, understanding the purpose of the writing or speech and the audience to comfortably adjust to meet their needs. The reduction of anxiety and fear of mistakes is key. Once students have confidence they are willing to take risks and be ok with trying again and again for improvement and ease of execution.
