About Johnathan
I received my Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry in 2008 at Sussex University UK, shortly before moving to Canada. Since then I have completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Queen's university, then moved into the fine chemicals industry. During this time I have mentored numerous co-workers and frequently provided help and suggestions.
I have always tried to ensure that I am approachable and friendly, with an easy going style of providing help that is always tailored to the situation and individual.

My tutoring technique is centered on the student. Chemistry is a fun and interesting subject, it is my goal to infuse my students with the same enthusiasm I feel for the subject. If a student is finding a concept or technique hard to grasp I try to find new and engaging ways to create understanding.
For up to high school students I can provide general chemistry tutoring, including homework help and more comprehensive teaching.
For university students I can only tutor organic chemistry.

Details
First session is free and will involve making sure that we are a good fit and that our expectations match up with each other. Target subjects for study will be identified and goals set. It will be a maximum of 60 min and will likely involve very little subject tutoring.
