About Sahana
I’m a Biology tutor with over 9 years of experience and a BSc in Ecology and Conservation. I love working with middle school students and introducing them to the basics of plant and animal life. My lessons are filled with exciting nature observations, from watching birds in the backyard to exploring the tiny details of a leaf. I often include simple experiments like seed germination to help students see biology in action. I believe that science should be fun, hands-on, and full of wonder. That’s why I use engaging stories about biodiversity to spark curiosity and connect lessons to the real world. Whether we're talking about rainforest frogs or desert plants, I always try to make biology come alive. I encourage students to ask questions, make discoveries, and think like young scientists. Over the years, I’ve helped many students build confidence and a genuine interest in the natural world. I focus on developing a strong foundation in life science through exploration and creativity. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for biology and scientific thinking. Let’s explore the world around us and discover the amazing organisms that share our planet!

My teaching approach in Biology focuses on making complex ideas simple, visual, and clear. I use active visualization techniques—diagrams, flowcharts, and animations to help students truly understand biological systems. Whether we’re learning about cell structure and function, molecular biology, genetics, or cellular processes, I ensure that every concept is broken down step by step. My lessons are rich in detailed explanations that connect theory to real-world examples.
I encourage students to ask questions and think critically about how life works at the molecular and cellular level. Each session is tailored to their pace and learning goals, making sure they feel confident and supported. I’m especially skilled in helping Pharmacist-in-Training and Spectroscopy Buffs who want to master biology with depth and accuracy.
I create a learning space where curiosity is welcomed and mistakes are part of the process. Students are not just memorizing they are learning how to think like scientists. I guide them through challenging topics with patience and clarity. My aim is to help every student excel and enjoy the subject. With consistent support and structured learning, they begin to see the beauty in biology. In time, they gain the skills and confidence to master the intricacies of life’s processes.
