About Sophia

I am a Physics tutor with more than 8 years of experience and a BSc in Physics with Philosophy. I focus on helping middle school students build a strong foundation in forces and motion. My teaching style is hands-on, using simple experiments to explain big ideas. Roller coasters, sports, and playground games often become part of my examples. These real-world connections keep lessons exciting and easy to follow. Many students find physics difficult at first, but I work to change that. I design problem-solving challenges that let students apply their learning. Curiosity and exploration are encouraged in every lesson. I adapt my teaching to match each student’s learning style. With patience and guidance, I help them build confidence. My lessons balance explanation, practice, and fun. Over time, students see physics as something useful and enjoyable. About the lesson

My approach to Physics teaching is gentle, practical, and reflective. I believe students learn best by designing and testing their own experiments. Lessons focus on experimental design and data analysis in simple steps. I introduce error propagation carefully, showing how uncertainty is part of science. Scientific reporting is also practiced to improve clarity in communication. I enjoy working with DIY Scientists and Curiosity-Driven Learners. They are supported in finding their unique approach to investigation. My lessons combine hands-on inquiry with reflective discussion. Mistakes are welcomed as valuable learning moments. Over time, students gain confidence in both process and results. Each experiment becomes a chance to grow curiosity and skill. Students learn to think critically and communicate effectively. Together, we make physics a journey of discovery and confidence.
