About Camila
With over 5 years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Vocal Performance, I specialize in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and returning singers. Whether you're preparing for your first community choir rehearsal, gearing up for karaoke night, or simply singing for joy, my lessons offer a low-pressure and encouraging environment. I believe that singing should be a source of self-care, creativity, and confidence—not stress. I focus on foundational techniques like breathwork, posture, vocal relaxation, and tone development to help you feel and sound your best. Mindfulness is a key part of my teaching, allowing you to stay grounded and fully present in your music. I also guide students in finding their voice in genres like Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. Each lesson is tailored to your pace, goals, and comfort level. No auditions, no judgment—just honest support and joyful music-making. I’ve helped many students reconnect with their love for singing and express themselves in meaningful ways. My singing teaching approach centers on developing vocal dexterity, precision, and expressive control. I focus on techniques that help singers navigate complex passages with ease and clarity. Lessons include targeted exercises for vocal agility, runs, riffs, and melisma. We break down each skill into small, manageable steps and build confidence through repetition and muscle memory.
I use both traditional methods and creative drills to stretch your vocal flexibility. You’ll learn how to move smoothly between notes, control speed and tone, and maintain pitch through tricky embellishments. Each session is structured, encouraging, and adapted to your musical style.
I work especially well with ensemble singers and instrumentalists who want to improve their vocal expression. Whether you're part of a vocal group or blending voice with strings, I help shape a tone that’s balanced and precise. I provide steady guidance and detailed feedback, focusing on control without tension.
By the end of each lesson, you'll feel more confident in your voice’s movement and musical choices. Together, we’ll turn challenges into natural skill. You’ll sing with effortless grace and refined expression.
