About Aurora

I’m a physics tutor with over 8 years of experience and hold a Master’s degree in Physics (MPhys). My teaching is grounded in making complex ideas accessible and meaningful—especially when it comes to biophysics and the physics of living systems. I’ve helped many students explore how physics explains life at the molecular and cellular levels. From molecular motors and membrane transport to nerve impulses and biomechanics, I guide learners through the core physical principles behind biological function. I regularly work with biology students, pre-med students, and anyone fascinated by the mechanics behind living systems. Whether it's understanding ion channel dynamics or modelling muscular force generation, I help connect theory with real biological processes. My lessons are tailored, patient, and filled with practical insight. I make sure students not only follow the equations, but truly grasp their physical meaning. Success for me means seeing students light up when physics finally clicks in the context of life. I emphasise clarity, curiosity, and critical thinking in every session.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is relaxed, supportive, and focused on real-world application. I believe physics becomes far more engaging when it's connected to practical engineering problems. Whether you're working on understanding materials science, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, or structural statics and dynamics, I bring concepts to life through real examples. Instead of just memorising formulas, I help students see why things work—and how to apply that understanding to real designs. I often use problems from mechanical, civil, and aerospace engineering to show how physics plays a central role in decision-making. We’ll look at case studies, design challenges, and real data when possible. I encourage curiosity and questions. My goal is to build both your confidence and technical ability. If you're struggling with theory, we’ll simplify it. If you're ready to apply it, we’ll push further into practical use. As a physics teacher with a strong background in computational physics, I support learners in mastering core concepts while applying them in simulations, modelling, and real analysis. You’ll learn to think like an engineer—using physics as a tool, not just a subject.
