About Kaelyn
I have over 8 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies. I specialise in ear training, transcription, and pitch development for guitarists. Lessons focus on hearing chord progressions, transcribing solos, and identifying melodic nuances. I work with students to strengthen listening, musical memory, and intuition. Each lesson is customised to fit skill level and musical goals. I emphasise practical exercises that translate directly into playing and improvisation. Students learn to recognise harmonic patterns and play what they hear confidently. My teaching style is interactive, encouraging, and performance-based. I help students develop technical skills alongside musical awareness. Lessons are fun, challenging, and engaging. I celebrate progress and help students reach their goals. I teach guitar with an emphasis on reading music and understanding notation. Lessons focus on tablature, standard notation, rhythm, and sight-reading exercises. My teaching is systematic, helping students develop fluent reading skills. I work with Classical Purists and Jazz Explorers to strengthen their music literacy. Students connect notation with the instrument through practical exercises. I emphasise rhythm, dynamics, and phrasing to play accurately. Reading music becomes a confidence-building skill. Lessons are interactive, structured, and engaging. I encourage creativity, curiosity, and persistence. Students gain the ability to sight-read confidently. I celebrate every milestone and achievement. Together, we unlock new musical possibilities through reading.
