About Israel-Aja

I'm Henry.
I am a passionate musician who loves exploring the depth and beauty of music, from understanding complex harmonies to creating original compositions. I enjoy discovering how different instruments and musical ideas come together to create something meaningful. I want to teach because I love sharing knowledge, helping others understand music beyond the basics, and inspiring them to discover their own musical creativity.

About the lesson

With 12 years of progressive musical experience, I have developed an advanced understanding of music theory, composition, harmony, and musical analysis. My expertise includes SATB writing, voice leading, harmonic analysis, musical notation, and the principles that govern effective musical composition.

I possess a strong understanding of the piano and other musical instruments, particularly their individual characteristics, ranges, timbres, and expressive possibilities. This knowledge enables me to synthesize instrumental parts effectively, creating balanced, cohesive, and musically expressive arrangements. I am passionate about helping students understand not only how music is written but also why it works.

My teaching approach combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, using musical scores, analytical exercises, and compositional examples to make complex concepts easier to understand. Whether you are developing your foundation in music theory or seeking to improve your skills in harmony, voice leading, SATB composition, or orchestration, my lessons will be tailored to your individual goals.

My aim is to help students develop a deeper understanding of music, strengthen their analytical abilities, and gain the confidence to read, analyze, arrange, and compose music.
