About Aubrey
I have over six years of experience teaching singing and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a voice emphasis. I provide personalised lessons for students of all levels, including school, college, and adult or professional learners. My teaching spans classical, pop, movie, and folk singing, helping students explore a wide range of styles. I focus on ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to build a strong musical foundation. Vocal confidence is a key part of my lessons, as I guide students to express themselves freely while maintaining safe techniques. I believe in nurturing each student’s unique voice and helping them develop their own musical identity. My approach is interactive, supportive, and tailored to individual goals. I incorporate exercises that improve technique, range, and expressiveness, making every lesson engaging and practical. I encourage experimentation and creative expression, helping students discover the joy of performing. Whether you are starting out or refining advanced skills, I provide tools and guidance to grow both technically and artistically. My teaching approach focuses on helping performers build stage confidence and connect with their audience. I emphasise breath control, clear diction, and proper posture to ensure strong, effortless delivery during live performance. Each lesson integrates microphone technique, so students feel comfortable and natural while singing or speaking on stage. I guide students through curated song choices that highlight their strengths and personality. Movement exercises are included to enhance presence and charisma, helping them feel more dynamic in front of an audience. Video feedback is used regularly to observe posture, gestures, and facial expressions, allowing for precise improvements. Stage presence drills reinforce confidence, ensuring performers engage their audience from the first note. Vocal stamina apps help track progress, monitor endurance, and maintain vocal health during long rehearsals or shows. I tailor exercises to each student’s persona, supporting them in expressing emotion authentically. Through consistent practice, students develop self-belief and a natural connection with listeners. I encourage experimentation, improvisation, and playful stage moments to enhance authenticity. Lessons focus on building resilience, so performers can handle nerves and unexpected challenges gracefully. My goal is to empower students to shine, combining technique, artistry, and personal flair. Each session is motivating, fun, and designed to make every performer feel stage-ready and confident.
