About Shrelock

With 11 years of experience in teaching and working in the field of music, I am a dedicated flute tutor committed to helping students from school to college level achieve their full potential. My passion for music started early, and over time, it grew into a desire to share my knowledge and inspire others.

Throughout my teaching journey, I have trained many students with different learning styles and goals, and I take pride in helping each one progress at their own pace. A significant milestone in my career has been seeing my students perform confidently on stage and participate in competitions, which reflects their hard work and growth.

My teaching approach is structured yet flexible, focusing on building a strong foundation through proper breathing techniques, finger placement, rhythm understanding, and tone quality. I also encourage creativity and self-expression so students can enjoy music beyond just technical learning.

I believe that every student is unique and requires a personalised approach, and I strive to create a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment. My aim is to make learning flute a fulfilling experience that builds not only musical skills but also confidence, discipline, and a lasting love for music.

About the lesson

I use a balanced teaching methodology based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students learn flute with confidence and clarity. I create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable to learn and express themselves. I motivate students by appreciating their efforts and setting achievable goals, which helps them stay focused.

Communication is a key part of my teaching, as I explain breathing, fingering, posture, and tone production in a simple and clear way. With integrity, I guide students honestly and focus on building strong basics. I correct mistakes patiently and help students improve step by step.

Creativity helps me design engaging lessons using songs, exercises, and interactive activities. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and ear training to help students become well-rounded musicians.
