About Thomas
I was a classroom teacher for 40 years in California public and private schools, from grades two through twelve. At the secondary I have instructed history, English, science, art, and writing classes. I have also written books, screenplays, and essays. Creative writing is my passion, but I am skilled at editing most any kind of writing. While I enjoy the freedom of retirement, I am a natural-born teacher, and I miss the fulfillment of guiding students toward success in writing. A good writing tutor focuses on fluency. Your writing should come to you as naturally as speaking. My goal is to develop your "inner voice" by teaching you to write comfortably and naturally, while reviewing your work with a critical eye. Do not expect me to write your papers for you. What I will do is edit your work for meaningful content, proper grammar, and an engaging style that is all your own. I look forward to working with you!
