About Emily
Hello there!! My name is Emily, and I am a recent high school graduate with a passion for writing, helping others, and making stressful things feel less scary. During my time in high school, I was an active student in our English department- succeeding in AP English courses and mentoring younger writers! Whether it's a short story, personal statement, or a 1,600-word research paper, I’m here to break it down step-by-step and make it feel doable. I bring patience, real talk, and a lot of positive energy to every session. My goal as your tutor? To help you feel confident in YOUR voice and maybe even enjoy the process a little along the way.

Have you ever pressed submit on that 3-page essay you procrastinated on and thought, “Well… that was a mess, but at least it’s over”? We’ve all been there at least once.
As a tutor, my goal is to help take the stress off of writing-- turning last-minute panic into solid planning and writing you're actually proud of! I strive to meet each student where they are; and building there with empathy and encouragement.
When it comes to my desired teaching method (s), I am a big fan of breaking things down step-by-step. We'll go at YOUR pace, and I'll explain everything in a way that makes sense to YOU. I love comparing things to YOUR interests, that way it clicks in a way that seems fun to you.
