About Joseph

Hello! I'm a graduate of Industrial Chemistry with a strong passion for teaching mathematics. I specialize in Algebra, Calculus, and related topics, and I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, real-life explanations that help you understand and succeed. I love what I do, and I’m confident I can help you succeed.

About the lesson

As a tutor with a degree in Industrial Chemistry, I bring a solid scientific foundation to teaching mathematics—especially in algebra, calculus, and other related topics. My approach combines clarity, patience, and real-life application to ensure students not only understand the “how” but also the “why” behind mathematical concepts.

Teaching Methods & Techniques:
I use step-by-step breakdowns of problems to reduce confusion and build confidence.

I focus on visual learning and conceptual understanding, using diagrams, graphs, and real-world analogies (especially from chemistry and industry).

I adapt to individual learning styles—whether a student prefers repetition, examples, or active problem-solving.

I provide personalized practice exercises after each lesson to reinforce learning and track progress.

Typical Lesson Plan:
Quick Recap of previous lesson (5–10 mins)

Concept Introduction – using simple language and relatable examples (10–15 mins)

Guided Problem Solving – solving problems together while explaining each step (15–20 mins)

Independent Practice & Feedback – student solves similar problems with my guidance (10–15 mins)

Homework/Takeaway Practice – assigned with clear instructions and goals.

What Sets Me Apart:
I bridge math and chemistry, making abstract math more meaningful by showing its use in science and industry.

I value patience and empathy—I’ve worked with learners who struggle or fear math, and I know how to build their confidence.

I teach not just for exams, but for long-term understanding and problem-solving skills.

Who My Lessons Are For:
Secondary school students (SS1–SS3) preparing for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, or school exams

Pre-university students who need a math refresher

Science students who want to strengthen their math foundations for subjects like Physics or Chemistry

Any student needing help in Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, or general problem-solving.
