About Jennifer
I am a veteran 32-year elementary education teacher who has taught all subjects grades K-3 in the regular classroom. My students are ethnically diverse, including those with special needs from behavioral interventions to specific learning plans to accommodate all students learning to meet their needs where they are at. It’s very important to me that students feel they can do it!

My teaching approach is interactive instruction that focuses on learning customized to the student’s academic needs. Lessons engage the student as an active participant through a variety of methods and activities. These learning experiences support student understanding while making learning fun to build confidence and independence. Student work includes a good deal of paper and interactive technology where tech is used as a resource and practice tool vs. the learning content itself. Students will learn to think and process learning skills and strategies to recognize and apply them to make connections to other learning content and real-life experiences/situations. There is always more than one way to learn and process information, so helping students find and understand what strategies work for them is very important to support lifelong learning.
