About Rosa
My mother tongue is Spanish but I got a Bachelor's Degree in English at Havana University in 1978, and since then I worked as an English professor until 2008. I worked as a professor at Dade Medical College for 3 years, and another year at Advance Science Institute, in both for Nursing or Medical field students. I also taught Spanish for foreign students in Cuba and got a Degree on that, therefore I can also teach Spanish.

When I graduated in Havana University in 1978, I began to teach English for students who were majoring in different Subjects such as Biology, Engineering, Mathematics, etc. During these years ,the main objective was Reading Comprehension of materials students have to face in their specialties, I mean they should be able to read, understand, and summarize the contents that were essential for their formation as professional , in order to achieve this, there was a close relationship between English and the other subjects whose bibliography was in English and the students must use the foreign language for that. In 1989 I began to teach English to students who were Majoring in English Language. Objectives were to make students master the language in all different abilities, listening, speaking reading and writing ,overlapping them as a whole. I taught Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Grammar, and some other things. I worked in a team teaching with the responsibility of forming all language skills in our students.
In this country I have taught different English subjects in two different Colleges but the main objectives have been reading compression and writing. At the moment, I am not teaching but I miss my class, teaching is my life!
