About Tanya
Hi, I’m Tanya! I’m a certified Secondary Education ELA teacher with 21 years of classroom experience, including work in Grade Level, Honors, and Co-Taught Inclusion settings. I hold a B.A. in Secondary Education/ELA along with two master’s degrees — one in Curriculum & Instruction and one in Instructional Design.
Over the years I’ve served as a Team Lead, Department Chair, and PBIS Coordinator, and I currently sit on my school’s Instructional Leadership Team. I specialize in reading comprehension, writing instruction, grammar, and test prep for middle and high school students, and I love helping students build confidence in their writing voice.
Outside the classroom, I run an educational resource brand focused on practical, real-world teaching tools — so I bring both classroom experience and a knack for breaking things down simply.

My lessons are built around each student's specific needs — whether that's reading comprehension, writing voice, grammar, or test prep. I start by assessing where a student currently stands, then target their gaps without overwhelming them. Sessions are encouraging and interactive, with guided practice and real writing feedback students can actually apply. I'm patient with students who struggle and equally ready to push high-achievers further. My goal every session: for a student to leave feeling like they understood something a little better than when we started.
