About Hollie
I am a student who has just finished their A levels and I am now going on to study Chemistry at degree level at the University of Bath in September 2021. I have developed a passion for both Chemistry and Maths over the past 4 years of GCSEs and A levels and now I wish to help young people to progress in these subjects too. Being a sibling of a 14-year-old, I'm used to assisting those needing help with science and maths work and can easily transfer these skills when it comes to tutoring.

As a student myself, I understand the struggle of exam stress and intense workload during GCSEs and A-Level. I believe that tutoring is an essential way of developing a passion for the subjects you are studying, whilst truly understanding and applying your knowledge. During GCSEs, I had a tutor myself and dreaded the thought of stepping into the exam hall unprepared, yet my understanding was enhanced massively after forming a 1:1 bond with a past student, reducing my anxieties and making me more confident.
As a recent sixth-form graduate, I am familiar with the modern style of teaching, and therefore my tutoring style will complement this structure. This will be through looking at past exam questions and explaining the mark schemes, using an interactive online whiteboard, and using the 'Google Meet' video call platform, the benefit of this being easy accessibility and flexibility to a time that suits you. I have learned numerous revision techniques and qualitative skills over the past 4 years which I am keen to transfer to my tutees in order to help them academically flourish.
