About Krittika
I’m 16, and I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, with 11 years of formal vocal training behind me. Hindustani classical music has been the biggest part of that journey, but I’ve never wanted to stay within just one kind of music. I also sing and compete in Western and rock genres, and I love discovering how differently the same voice can be used across styles.
Music is something I naturally keep coming back to. I notice melodies, lyrics, voices and little details in songs even when I’m not actively trying to. Over the years, performing and competing have also taught me things that don’t really come from practice alone, especially how to handle nerves, mistakes and the pressure of being heard.
I want to teach because I remember what it felt like to be a beginner. There’s something genuinely exciting about finally getting a note right, understanding something that once felt confusing, or hearing your own voice improve over time. I want my students to experience that too.
I’m still learning myself, and I think that’s important. I’m not here to make every student sound like me. I want to help them understand their voice, become more confident with it, and find the kind of music they actually enjoy singing.
Teaching lets me share something that has been such a big part of my own life, while continuing to learn from every person I teach.

I believe good singing is about more than getting the notes right. It is about understanding your voice, the music, and why a performance works.
I have been training in vocals for 11 years, with Hindustani classical music as my primary discipline and the foundation of my musical training. At the same time, I actively sing and compete in Western and rock genres, giving me experience across very different vocal approaches and performance styles.
I am a 3rd-place winner in the junior category of the Saptak National Vocal Competition, inaugurated by Grammy-winning musician Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. My experience as both a classical vocalist and a performer in contemporary genres has shaped the way I approach music, technically grounded, but never limited to one sound.
I teach Hindustani classical, semi-classical, light music, Western vocals, and foundational vocal skills. Depending on your goals, lessons can include sur, taal, voice culture, breath control, diction, vocal technique, expression, song interpretation, and performance.
Most importantly, I don't want lessons to feel like simply following instructions. I want students to understand what they are doing and why. Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for a performance, exploring a new genre, or looking to strengthen your existing voice, I'll tailor the lessons to where you are and where you want to go.
