About Kayley
Hi! My name is Miss Kayley! I've achieved my associate's in teaching, and I'm back in school currently working on my bachelor's in teaching. I want to help my students realize how smart they are and that it's okay to ask for help when needed. I also want my students to know if they have a form of step-backs, that it's okay, and that it doesn't define them or define how smart they are. I grew up battling my own difficulties, like dyslexia and ADHD. So I know the struggles of not understanding the new things taught in class. I look forward to helping in any way I possibly can! :)

Hi! My name is Miss Kayley, I teach differently for different kinds of things. If it's proofreading a paper then I will start by going over it with the student. I've learned that having them read it out loud to me not only helps them catch any spelling mistakes they may have made but also helps them realize if the sentence they are reading is a run-on sentence and so on. If it's reading depending on the stage of where the student is at depends on how I'd teach. If they are pretty new to reading then we will take our time in learning how the words sound and break down big words to help them grasp the concept. I want every student I help to leave with a smile on their face, knowing they did it and understand the things they are being taught!
