About Emery
I am a passionate guitar instructor with 11 years of experience helping students develop technical proficiency, musical creativity, and performance confidence. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Guitar Performance, I have trained learners of all ages and abilities, creating personalized lessons that support consistent improvement and a lifelong appreciation for music.
My experience includes teaching acoustic, electric, and classical guitar, covering essential techniques, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills. I enjoy guiding students preparing for concerts, examinations, auditions, or personal enjoyment. By understanding each learner's interests and goals, I create engaging lessons that encourage confidence, discipline, and artistic growth.
I believe every student can become a skilled guitarist with proper guidance, regular practice, and genuine encouragement. My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, motivation, and practical learning experiences that make progress enjoyable. My guitar lessons are designed to build strong technical skills while making learning enjoyable and rewarding. I adapt lessons for beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced players, ensuring steady progress through structured guidance and consistent practice.
I emphasize proper hand positioning, strumming patterns, picking techniques, music theory, and ear training to help students become confident musicians. Lessons include practical exercises, creative improvisation, and performance preparation that strengthen musical understanding. Regular feedback and personalized learning plans allow students to improve accuracy, confidence, and overall playing ability.
Every lesson combines technique with creativity, encouraging students to explore different musical genres and develop their own playing style. I incorporate performance exercises, timing practice, and repertoire building to enhance confidence and musical expression. My goal is to create an inspiring learning environment where students enjoy continuous growth and lasting musical success.
