About Jonathan
Because language acquisition felt mysterious until I finally grasped the underlying mechanics, I now teach French to help you navigate those same hurdles. My Bachelor of Arts in TESOL from the University of Edinburgh provides the structural foundation for 13 years of classroom instruction.
I guide students through the nuances of liaison and nasal sounds, ensuring that even beginners master everyday phrases with total comfort. Conversational fluency is built through careful attention to grammar and cultural context. Whether you are preparing for an interview or aiming for success in DELF or DALF exams, I am here to assist. My teaching style is consistent, ensuring you feel supported throughout our journey.

Structure functions as the bridge between simple memorisation and true linguistic fluidity. 392 students have progressed through my programmes by starting with a diagnostic level test before we build the plan. This initial assessment allows me to identify your specific needs regarding pronunciation and business French. I draw upon my academic background to explain complex syntax in plain language.
By evaluating your current grasp of the language, we eliminate guesswork and focus purely on the areas requiring refinement. My approach ensures that every hurdle becomes a manageable challenge. Success comes from consistency and practice.
