I base my lessons on teaching the essence of software engineering by coaching my students through the thinking process. This sets up a strong mental foundation for any programming language. Then, together with the learner, we learn how to read a programming problem, dissect it into smaller problems, and solve one problem at a time to end up with a bigger end-to-end solution.
During the lesson, we use simple life examples, real life situations that are relatable so that the learner does not have to memorize at all.
Homework? not really, I don't give a homework, I see the post lesson work as a practice that the learners themselves would want to do because they enjoy creativity.
