About Lashanda
"Playing indie gigs is my reality, which keeps my perspective grounded and current. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music from the Queensland Conservatorium.
Teaching students guitar involves focus on improvisation, music theory, reading tabs, and grade exam prep. We tackle barre chords, acoustic technique, and fingerpicking patterns alongside proper tuning and maintenance. My time is split between performing and helping you learn the instrument. I bring a relaxed, gig-tested energy to our sessions in your home."

"Most sessions begin with a quick warm-up to get your hands moving comfortably. Honestly, I find that keeping things simple usually yields the fastest results on the fretboard. We use my 7 years of performance background to apply theory directly to songs you actually want to play. I have guided 280 students through the hurdles of learning guitar, so I know where people get stuck.
My degree from Griffith ensures we cover the essential technical foundations properly. You will learn to navigate the neck with confidence while maintaining a 10.0 level of focus on your posture and sound.
I prefer to show you how to listen closely to your own playing. We adjust the pace based on your progress and what you find challenging. I just want to make sure you enjoy the process of making music while we work through the techniques."
