About Erica
My name is Erica. I have been teaching Spanish to many people for the past 10 years. All my students are of different ages, and each student is a special learner. I believe learning a different language is more than just learning a language; it involves getting immersed in the culture. I like to involve music, clothing, and other special details about the language we are learning. This has helped students love learning.

My approach to teaching is very simple and does not require much time from students. My classes are one hour long. We first start with a warm-up for five minutes, then we move on to intros and greetings for 5 minutes to target vocabulary. I have students listen and repeat after me. Then we have a chat practice; if through Zoom, I'll have students type phrases and read aloud as they type. Then we role-play and have an interactive session. We then go on to learning numbers and how to write them. I prefer to use many visuals and pictures to help students remember words or numbers. Then we do a review of what we have learned and encourage students to practice in the mirror their expressions to keep what was learned fresh in their minds while we meet next time.
