About Bart
Perhaps you struggle with pattern recognition, but you really need a guide who understands the underlying logic of attacking play. My 13 years of experience, combined with a BSc in Pure Mathematics from MIT, allows me to explain opening principles with total precision. Having taught 263 students, I know that game recording and notation, pawn structures, and endgame technique only stick if they are taught one clear step at a time. Usually, we start our first meeting with a diagnostic rating assessment to see exactly where you stand. I rely on my 13 years of experience to identify holes in your defense while we look at your previous games. We track your progress through the 8.0 rating scale, moving through drills that emphasize calculation and tactical awareness.
This methodical approach helps you develop a consistent rhythm in your play. I expect you to bring your focus to the board every single time.
