About Andrews
Creating an environment where errors are treated as data points makes the process much lighter. Working through a diagnostic writing assessment before we start helps me isolate the exact areas that need refinement. My background in Translation Studies means that we analyze the nuances of grammar through a professional lens. You will find that our sessions emphasize practical application over rote memorization.
We tackle email writing by breaking down tone and syntax into manageable segments. Public speaking nerves often disappear once we apply my specific structural frameworks. Language instruction became my path shortly after I started observing how people process grammar. It is a precise science.
I hold an MA in Translation Studies from Kent State University, which provides a rigorous academic foundation for the 19 years of experience I have accumulated. My approach remains calm and methodical regardless of the learner level. Dealing with everything from basic phonics to advanced public speaking requires a clear head.
I find that the multilingual student represents the most interesting segment of my roster. Helping adults and working professionals navigate complex vocabulary building occupies much of my time. Teens and travellers also benefit from my structured report writing strategies.
It is quite rewarding to see these concepts click. Personally, I enjoy quiet study sessions with a good book when I am not in the classroom.
