About Casandra
I earned my master's degree in 2006, and I've been teaching and tutoring since then. I have taught math at a private school, from middle school math all the way up to pre-calculus. I have taught test-prep courses for the SAT and the ACT, as well as tutored students for end-of-course tests for various math classes. I have helped many students get over their fear of math by showing them how math is a building block subject - that is, everything in math is built on a previous concept. Traditional math instruction often leads to a fear of math and the false idea that "I can't do math." I'm here to show you that you can be a "math person!" Let me help you get there!
