About Adira
I am a guitar teacher with over 11 years of experience, passionate about helping adult learners build confidence and creativity through music. My teaching style is flexible and supportive, designed to adapt to each student’s pace and goals. I focus on practical goal-setting, ensuring lessons are productive, enjoyable, and rewarding. I encourage self-expression at any age, helping students explore their unique musical voice. With a Diploma of Music (Guitar Specialisation), I bring both technical expertise and a love for performance to every lesson. I believe music is a lifelong journey, and it’s never too late to develop new skills or rediscover old passions. Lessons are hands-on and interactive, combining technique, theory, and improvisation in a fun, approachable way. I guide students through a variety of styles, from acoustic fingerstyle to jazz and contemporary guitar. Each session is tailored to foster creativity while building solid musical foundations. I aim to create a supportive environment where mistakes are part of learning and confidence grows naturally. My goal is to inspire adults to enjoy music, express themselves, and achieve their personal milestones. Whether picking up the guitar for the first time or returning after years, I help learners embrace the joy of playing. My teaching approach focuses on helping students of all levels build strong skills and confidence on the guitar. I combine practical playing with music theory, ear training, and performance coaching to create a well-rounded learning experience. Each lesson is personalised to match the student’s goals, whether it’s mastering jazz improvisation, rock riffs, or acoustic fingerstyle. I incorporate tools like DAWs, amp simulators, and metronome apps to make practice more effective and engaging. I encourage students to explore different styles, guiding them to develop their unique musical voice. We work on sight-reading, chord progressions, and melody creation alongside improvisation exercises. I emphasise listening skills and ear training to help students recognise and reproduce complex musical ideas. Performance coaching helps learners prepare for live shows or recordings, building stage confidence. I break down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. I support students in challenging themselves, from exploring intricate jazz solos to energetic rock pieces. By combining structured practice with creativity, I help them enjoy the process while excelling in their musical journey. Lessons are interactive, fun, and adapted to each student’s pace and style.
