About Charlie
Music has simply been my life since childhood, and I often wonder if I could ever do anything else. My work involves improvisation and soloing, lead guitar, blues progressions, scales and modes, music theory, reading tabs, ear training, tuning and maintenance, and reading sheet music. I earned my Master of Music in Violin Performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, which informs my approach to fretboard mechanics. After 13 years of experience, I am happy to chat if you want to pick up a guitar.

I admit that teaching technical proficiency is sometimes harder than teaching the soul of the blues. My method relies on 10.0 level precision to ensure that your progress remains measurable and consistent. I have taught 281 students over my career, and I value the way a monthly recorded review of progress helps clarify your path forward.
