I would explain the math class in the following way:
The purpose of math class is to help students develop their mathematical thinking skills. This includes being able to solve problems, reason logically, and communicate mathematical ideas.
Math class is not just about memorizing formulas and procedures. It is also about understanding the concepts behind those formulas and procedures.
There are many different ways to learn math. Some students learn best by listening to lectures, while others learn best by doing hands-on activities.
A good math teacher will use a variety of teaching methods to reach all of their students. They will also be patient and encouraging, and they will be available to help students when they are struggling.
