"A typical session involves a balance of rigorous technique and artistic exploration. I confess that I find the most joy in watching a student finally master a difficult passage after weeks of persistence. Because I hold a Master of Music degree, I bring a high level of academic rigour to every warm-up routine. I provide recorded warm-up routines shared for daily home practice to keep your instrument in shape between meetings.
Intermediate learners and hobbyists often benefit from my focus on microphone technique and genre styling. My 12 years of experience ensure that your progress is both measurable and healthy for your vocal cords. "I sometimes struggle to explain how much music defines my daily existence. My Master of Music in Voice from the Royal Northern College of Music provides the foundation for all my vocal techniques.
Having taught 393 students, I understand the common hurdles in developing performance confidence. Breathing is the engine of the voice.
I have spent 12 years analysing how head and chest voice interact within different genres. Whether you focus on pop, classical, or musical theatre, the physics remain consistent.
Grade exam candidates often find my attention to sight singing and theory particularly useful. Warm up exercises form the essential ritual of my sessions. I treat every voice as a unique instrument requiring its own specific care. My goal is to ensure you feel secure in your technical command."
