About Lien

Holding a BA TESOL from the University of Cambridge provides the framework for my work. Grammar foundations and writing skills often feel like cold ink on a page until we discuss them. I demonstrate my own thinking out loud, showing the dead ends and the messy process of discovery.

My 13 years of experience includes working both sides of ESL, which keeps my perspective sharp. Do you prefer to build structure from the ground up or focus on specific exam needs like IELTS preparation?

I cover idioms, everyday conversation, and accent softening for those who need practical fluency. Pronunciation work and exam speaking practice are common goals for my students. We tackle email and letter writing through a homework module that includes detailed feedback after every class. What remains after our time together is whether the language holds up when I am not there.
