About Leona
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree, passionate about helping students become skilled and confident musicians. I believe every student can learn to play the guitar successfully with proper guidance, patience, and consistent practice. My teaching style is friendly, supportive, and focused on making each lesson both educational and enjoyable.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students, helping them improve technique, musical understanding, stage confidence, and overall performance skills. I simplify challenging guitar concepts into easy-to-follow lessons that allow students to progress comfortably at their own pace while enjoying the learning process.
I personalise every lesson according to each student's goals, strengths, and preferred musical genres. Whether preparing for examinations, live performances, auditions, band practice, or simply learning as a hobby, I provide continuous guidance, constructive feedback, and encouragement. Watching students develop confidence, musical creativity, and a lifelong passion for guitar is the most fulfilling part of my teaching journey.

My guitar lessons are carefully designed to help students develop strong playing techniques while making learning enjoyable and rewarding. I teach acoustic guitar, electric guitar, fingerstyle guitar, chord progressions, strumming patterns, scales, music theory, rhythm, and lead guitar through simple step-by-step instruction. Every lesson is customised to suit each student's experience level, musical interests, and personal learning goals.
Students learn to play classical pieces, contemporary songs, pop, rock, blues, folk, and devotional music while building confidence and technical ability. I focus on improving finger coordination, timing, improvisation, ear training, and musical expression through practical exercises and regular practice sessions. Lessons include song-based learning, technique development, and performance preparation to ensure steady progress and lasting musical skills.
Whether students are learning for personal enjoyment, school performances, music examinations, competitions, live performances, or professional aspirations, I provide structured guidance and continuous encouragement. I create a positive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their creativity while developing confidence as guitar players. Regular feedback and personalised practice plans help students achieve consistent improvement and long-term success.
