About Harper
As an experienced guitarist and music educator, my journey with music began at a young age and has grown into a lifelong pursuit of artistic expression and teaching excellence. With extensive performance experience across various genres including Rock, Soul, Funk, Folk, and Latin music, I bring a rich tapestry of musical influences to my teaching.
My approach to music education is deeply rooted in a passion for inspiring others through the power of music. Over the years, I have honed my teaching philosophy to prioritize creativity, technical proficiency, and a holistic understanding of musical theory and application. I strive to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical interests and push their boundaries.
Throughout my career as a music teacher, I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages and skill levels. Whether guiding beginners through the basics of guitar playing or mentoring advanced musicians in advanced techniques and performance skills, I tailor my lessons to meet the unique needs and goals of each student. My teaching style blends structured learning with flexibility, allowing students to progress at their own pace while challenging them to reach new heights in their musical journey.
Beyond technical instruction, I emphasize the importance of musical expression and creativity. I encourage students to explore different styles, experiment with improvisation, and develop their own musical voice. By fostering a deep appreciation for music and its cultural significance, I aim to empower my students to become not only skilled musicians but also passionate advocates for the arts in their communities.
In essence, my role as a music educator is to inspire, guide, and support each student on their path to musical excellence and personal fulfillment. I am committed to sharing my love for music and helping others discover the joy and transformative power that music brings to our lives.

In my music lessons, I aim to create a dynamic and enriching experience that caters to each student's musical interests and aspirations. Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time or seeking to refine advanced techniques, my approach is centered on fostering creativity, technical proficiency, and a deep appreciation for diverse musical genres.
For beginners, lessons focus on establishing a strong foundation in fundamental techniques such as proper posture, basic chords, and rhythm. I emphasize learning through enjoyable exercises and popular songs to keep motivation high and ensure steady progress. As students advance, we delve deeper into music theory, improvisation, and stylistic nuances relevant to their musical preferences.
Intermediate and advanced students benefit from a curriculum that challenges them to expand their repertoire, refine their technique, and explore more complex musical concepts. Each lesson is structured to address specific goals, whether mastering intricate solos, understanding advanced music theory, or developing a unique musical voice through composition and improvisation.
I believe in a personalized approach to teaching that respects each student's learning pace and preferences. Lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, incorporating a variety of teaching methods such as demonstrations, listening exercises, and collaborative jam sessions. Feedback is provided constructively to encourage growth and build confidence in both performance and musical expression.
Ultimately, my goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for music and equip my students with the skills and knowledge they need to become versatile, expressive musicians. By fostering a supportive and creative learning environment, I strive to empower students to achieve their musical aspirations and develop a deep connection to the art of music-making.
