About Reese
With 11 years of guitar experience and a degree in Music Performance, I bring both expertise and passion to every lesson. My teaching approach emphasizes musical expression, critical listening, and nurturing each student’s individual creativity. I believe that true musicianship comes from a balance of skill, knowledge, and artistic exploration. In my lessons, students develop strong foundations in chord theory, technique, improvisation, and ear training. I guide learners through all levels, from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate, as well as Professional and Expert musicians. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, ensuring steady growth and deep engagement with the instrument. I encourage students to explore multiple genres, experiment with their own compositions, and build confidence in performing. Through structured practice, creative exercises, and personalized feedback, learners gain both technical mastery and artistic voice. My aim is to help every student become a versatile, expressive, and well-rounded guitarist. My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop both technical skills and a deep love for playing guitar. I guide learners through all levels, from beginners to advanced, ensuring they gain confidence with each step. Lessons cover a variety of genres, including classical, jazz, blues, funk, pop, and rock, so students can explore their personal musical tastes. I emphasize creativity and personal expression, encouraging students to compose their own pieces and experiment with improvisation. Technical skills, such as fingerpicking, strumming patterns, scales, and chord progressions, are built progressively to create a strong foundation. I also incorporate exercises that improve timing, rhythm, and ear training. Students learn to adapt their style across different genres while discovering their unique sound. I provide guidance and support to help every student excel, whether they aim to perform professionally or simply enjoy playing. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to individual goals. I motivate students to practice consistently while keeping learning fun and inspiring. By combining skill-building, creativity, and genre flexibility, I aim to make every student not only a proficient guitarist but also a confident and expressive musician.
