About Jason
Regulars at open stages kept asking how I managed my acoustic sets and that curiosity started my teaching career. You might be a complete beginner or a seasoned player looking for structure. I hold a BFA in Music Industry from Belmont University and have spent 13 years touring the South. It is common for me to work with teens and kids who want to handle barre chords or power chords.
Improvisation and ear training are areas where I spend quite a bit of time. Reading tabs and learning specific strumming patterns is essential for your growth. My approach remains grounded in the realities of gigging.
Music theory becomes clear when you see how it applies to songs. I want to help you reach your goals without the fluff.
