About Robert
"Do you ever wonder how music theory connects to the physical act of playing? My path began long ago and eventually led me to the Australian National Academy of Music. Since then, I have taught piano for 13 years, guiding students from their very first notes to the complexity of performance level.
I meet each student where they are, ensuring the foundation remains solid while we navigate the nuances of music. You will find my teaching style focuses on building a clear understanding of the instrument rather than just rote memorization."

"You deserve a clear path to improvement that focuses on the core mechanics of rhythm and timing. We will systematically refine your scales and arpeggios while integrating targeted ear training to sharpen your musical instincts.
Accompaniment skills are also a vital part of our time together, providing you with 6 distinct ways to interpret a score. These sessions maintain a steady flow that allows for deep focus on technical hurdles. I find that simplifying complex concepts is the best way to handle the demands of Trinity or ABRSM grade exams.
My own approach remains rooted in the belief that clarity creates confidence during any performance. I look forward to working through these challenges with you as we refine your technique."
