About Evangeline
Singing is rarely about the voice itself and almost always about the physical tension we unknowingly bring to the instrument. I began this work because the technical side of the voice was largely ignored in performance circles.
I assist 466 students with genre styling including pop, classical, and musical theater to ensure they feel secure. We examine microphone technique, head and chest voice, pitch control, and diction and articulation to solve common habits. Many people come to me for exam preparation because they want to know exactly how their vocal cords function during these technical feats.

Many singers feel a sudden tightness in the throat right when they approach a high note in a difficult song. I start by identifying where that constriction lives in your body to release it immediately. Proper breath support is the key. We utilize my free access to breathing and warm up exercise notes to build your stamina.
I guide you through specific articulation patterns to improve your clarity. This work requires patience.
My 13 years of study at Eastman inform how we approach these exercises to keep you healthy. We refine your pitch control and expand your range over the course of these 10 segments. I keep the environment focused on steady improvement. How does your voice feel when you remove that extra tension?
