About Jacinta
Hello, I’m Jacinta, a passionate dance instructor and re-igniting my love for dance having found myself teaching my daughter to pick up her own enthusiasm for dance. As a certified group fitness instructor and a former Zumba fitness instructor, I bring a vibrant mix of Latin and world dance styles to my sessions. I am a shy person but the dancer in me brings out my dynamism and reveals my confidence. People who know me say that I have two sides of me and don’t think that the dancer is me and the same person:) That's the power of dance - to illuminate and transform everyone! With professional training in Level 1 Contemporary Dance (Indian) and Intermediate Street Jazz, I blend technical skill with an intuitive approach to dance solely led by musicality. Dance is meant to be soul-searching and finding the joy in movement, let's discover each of your styles and put that to a broader use to connect.

In my sessions, the approach you find is (in that order): connect with the rhythm of the music - mastering basic steps - and then layering them with fun, suave, and groovy moves. Whether you're dancing at a party, pub, wedding, or just in your living room, I’ll teach you how to own the dance floor comfortably in your own skin and style. My dance sessions are about easy-to-learn steps, loosening up the body (with some beginners' level fitness routines) and focuses on adapting fundamental dance moves to your own flexibility. By the end of 3 or 6 months (depending on your flexibility and dedication), you should be able to dance away your own to popular and similar genres of trending songs, you hear! My sessions are designed to help you listen to the musicality of a song, respond to its beats, and make every dance your own. From time to time, we’ll dive into full-song choreographies and explore a fresh "pick of the month" dance style to keep things exciting!
