About Lucas Henz
I spent 3 years in Australia and I studied English and taught in English. Learning a new language can seem very difficult if the right method is not taught. I graduated in Production Engineering from the University of Caxias do Sul but taught other languages for pleasure, because one day I also had difficulties learning from the traditional methods taught by language schools. I spent 3 years in Australia and I have learned from people of different nationalities that the traditional method of teaching languages is outdated. If you really want to learn a new language, you need to focus on what works. I bet to learn the language you speak in your country, you did not have to learn verbs and grammatical rules. You simply learned how to speak and your parents did not teach you any rules. You just knew how to respond and that's it. Of course, if you want to be a teacher or write an article for a magazine, you need to know all the grammatical rules, but the first step is to understand what people are saying or writing for you, so that you can respond to them in the best way. Perfect! There are so many wonderful things to say about Lucas! What a truly kind-hearted soul he is, with brilliant energy, humour and attentiveness. I came onto this website as a complete beginner of Portuguese, without ever having had a tutor before and honestly, I'm so glad I did!
