About Katharina
Being convinced of the fact that the active speaking and the focus on the words and intonation of sentences is at least as important as learning by writing, I want my lessons to focus on the pronunciation and speaking in particular. Since we need to use all of our channels while learning, I am here to especially target learners, who don't get enough attention to the improvement of their speaking skills!
I have a Bachelors Degree in Sinology, had Russian as a minor, learned one year of Japanese in university, and learned half a year of Korean by myself. Therefore I know how to convey a language lesson effectively, what the real needs of a language student are and how to focus on them. Many learners of the Chinese language talk very little in class. What you maybe need the most, is to improve your feeling for the language. Everything else, like writing skills for example, can then improve more quickly! Training the speaking ability will affect the general sense for the language positively, and therefore writing skills can improve significantly!
In addition, my pronunciation is excellent. 2011, I won the second place (certified) at the 10th Chinese Bridge Language Competition in Germany. Included was a musical performance and a freely spoken narrative.
