About Tayla
I have a degree in Psychology and Gender studies. I have my post graduate ( honours level) in Psychology too. I completed my TEFL certificate this year and have been teaching English to non-native speakers, at a private company, since July. I have taught between sixty five and seventy five adults, ranging from the ages of seventeen to late forty's.
Out of all the students I have taught, more than eighty percent of them passed their end of level exam ( seventy percent or more) and moved up the CEFR ladder.
I naturally build relationships with my students, as I am interested in their lives and ensuring that there is good rapport and communication between the student and myself.
After every lesson I ask students how they found it and if there is anything that they would like me to do differently, as their teacher. I encourage my students to provide feedback on my lessons, after every session that we have.
I only have experience in teaching group lessons, however, individual needs are met by assigning my students tasks that are based on their needs.

I prefer teaching and learning in a fun manner, as learning something new should be a exciting! So, if you want to learn a fantastic language, in a fun way, message me! Let's converse in English and not learn a language the old, boring way ( the textbook way).
My teaching method incorporates a 21st century method of teaching: a student-centered one. My philosophy of creating a space for your students to become autonomous learners, is what this methodology encourages. I see myself as a facilitator, rather than a teacher. I encouraged my students to do peer corrections and for them to be autonomous in the classroom. Moreover, I like to be apart of the classroom and for my students to find me approachable.
