About Sofia
Can you hear the music playing in your head right now? During our time together, we focus on the transition from hearing a melody to executing it on the fretboard with absolute clarity. My 13 years of gigging inform how we approach scales and modes to ensure they serve your songwriting. We cover everything from setting up your instrument to shredding a solo over complex chord changes.
It is all about finding that groove in your hands and keeping it steady. We just start playing.

Tuning and maintenance, improvisation, soloing, songwriting, reading sheet music, scales, modes, ear training, acoustic technique, reading tabs, and lead guitar are the core pillars of my craft. I am a guitarist with 13 years of experience who graduated with a BA in Music from the University of Melbourne.
My life has been spent touring the Australian Latin music scene where I learned how to turn complex theory into real music. I treat the instrument as a living thing that needs constant care and practice. My teaching style is rhythmic, playful, and focused on keeping you moving forward. Whether you are a kid, a working professional, or an advanced adult learner, I meet you where you are.
