Young English tutor making English less boring, relatable and actually useful AND fun for school students

About Shreya

Ever since I was a kid.....I have been legit.... no fascinating by English. I scored 93 out of 100 in my English boards despite going through a very difficult time, and since primary school, I’ve consistently scored 90+ in English. English has always been my strongest subject because I haven’t just studied it for exams, but genuinely enjoyed it. At this point, I can definitely call it one of my hobbies.

My English goes beyond textbooks and exam copies. I’ve participated in multiple zonal-level English competitions, including essay writing and slogan writing, and I’ve given multiple speeches and taken part in public speaking at school as well as at gatherings outside school. My English teacher, Madhulika Ma’am, even took me to an Eshwaramma Day celebration after seeing me participate in a debate, because she liked the way I spoke and presented my thoughts.

Outside academics, I also create content on Instagram and Snapchat, where you can get a little glimpse of me beyond being your English tutor. I don’t teach English there, but I think it’s a fun way for students to know the person they’ll actually be learning from.

I also see tutoring as a way for me to improve my own communication and teaching skills, become more patient, and learn how to connect with different kinds of people. I’m a little bit of an entrepreneur too, and I think being a Commerce student makes me naturally interested in building something of my own while sharing something I genuinely enjoy. I want to help other students become more comfortable with English and enjoy it rather than seeing it as just another subject. I’m young too, so I understand what it’s like to be a student, and I want my students to feel like they’re learning from someone who actually gets that.

Outside of all this, I do a little content creation on Instagram and Snapchat too, so you can get to know a little more about me beyond being your English tutor.

I welcome you into conversations rather than traditional lectures. I explain English like a game, not a pedestal that feels impossible to climb onto.

I’m young myself, so I know how to create real-life situations, stories, games, conversations and examples that we Gen Zs can actually relate to. Instead of simply memorizing boring grammar rules, we’re going to create tricks, mnemonics and little ways to actually remember what we learn.

At the end of every class, we’re going to have a quick clock-it session, and I’m going to quiz you and keep you on your toes. Because I know we’re all human and we all make mistakes, I’ll make sure you never feel embarrassed for getting something wrong.

My classes are intended for people who really wanna match my freak. English is a language, remember that, not a pedestal. And now, we’re going to walk through this language together.
