About Alexa
I've been playing guitar for over fifteen years, and for the last six years, I've had the pleasure of teaching it to others. I believe that learning an instrument should always be an inspiring journey, not a frustrating one. My teaching style is built on patience and personalization; I listen to your goals and help you get there. As a member of a local band with experience in recording, I can also offer you a broader perspective on what it means to be a musician today. My mission is to give you the skills and confidence to express yourself creatively through the guitar.

If you've always dreamed of playing the guitar, I can help you make that a reality. My lessons are designed to be fun, engaging, and focused on getting you playing the music you love. We’ll start with the absolute fundamentals: how to hold and tune the guitar, mastering your first essential chords, and developing a great sense of rhythm with different strumming patterns. My entire method is song-based, meaning we use popular songs to learn new techniques. This makes practicing more enjoyable and rewarding. I teach rock, pop, blues, and folk styles on both acoustic and electric guitar, and can even guide you in songwriting.
