About Stephen

About Me

I’m a Computer Science graduate and a passionate musician who has been playing guitar since the age of 13. Over the years, music has grown from a personal passion into a skill I genuinely enjoy sharing with others. I also have a strong love for keys, songwriting, singing, and musical creativity.

I am a certified guitar tutor with experience teaching people from different backgrounds, including school students, corps members, military personnel, and complete beginners. My teaching style is practical, patient, and student-focused. I use my **PYFS (Play Your Favourite Song)** approach to help students stay motivated by learning songs they actually love.

Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to improve your existing skills, I'll guide you step-by-step and at your own pace.

So, please go dust off that old guitar of yours and let's make some beautiful music with it. It’s not too late to start!

About the lesson

About My Teaching Approach

I have taught students from diverse backgrounds, including High School, members, military personnel, Kindergarten, and beginners of different ages

My teaching approach, **PYFS (Play Your Favourite Song)**, is designed to keep students motivated from the very beginning. Rather than spending weeks learning only theory and exercises, students are encouraged to start working towards playing songs they genuinely love. This makes learning more enjoyable, practical, and rewarding.

I also believe that every student can learn at their own pace. I pay special attention to students who may need more time or additional guidance, and I don't give up on them until they begin to make meaningful progress.
