About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily.
I am a College student who is about to start my 1st year at George Brown College for Video Game Art after completing 2 years at Georgian College for Game Design and Simulation. I have always been passionate about reading, and it is one of my favorite pastimes, going back to elementary school. I remember how magical it felt to pick up that first Narnia book, and that even led to my loving every book my teachers assigned throughout my school years. I want to be sure that everyone has an opportunity to feel that way about English.

I love English; it's something I have always been passionate about, and I am thrilled to be in a position to help others learn. My lessons are for elementary to grade 10, and I can assist in reading comprehension, writing, homework, etc.
My typical lesson would be first getting a sense of where the student is—asking questions about what work they do in school, and whether or not they find it challenging or are falling behind. Then, if applicable, I would be moving on to having them read and answer some questions about a passage from a book or short story at their grade level.
After this, I will be able to make a plan to get them on track with where they need to be.
