About Amelia

I am an Ancient History and Spanish student going into my 3rd year at Exeter University. I have a great deal of experience with Spanish, having studied it for the last 10 years, and in that time I have spent 4 months living in Latin America, which helped a lot in improving my levels of fluency. Although I don't have much tutoring experience, whilst in Latin America, I gave weekly English classes, and during my time at secondary school, I tutored 2 or 3 students in Spanish from the lower years.

About the lesson

I am happy to tutor anyone at any level of Spanish - from beginner up to A-Level standard, and I would completely tailor the lessons to the needs of my student. The lessons would involve a fair amount of conversational Spanish as I believe speaking and listening are invaluable in developing language skills, but I am also more than happy to tutor students in learning vocabulary and grammar, as well as reading and writing comprehension.

I team led a youth group and Amelia was one of my helpers. Although Amelia was very quiet and shy at the beginning, she soon played a valuable part and was a great member of our team. Amelia was drawn to those children who were quiet or didn't fit in and made them feel part of our group. Amelia always made everyone feel welcome and was very conscientious, turning up early and staying late helping to set up and put away. We missed Amelia when she left. Amelia is a very likeable person and isvery reliable.
