About Paula

I am passionate about teaching fashion and helping my students get the most from the experience. You do not need to be an amazing artist or illustrator to be a brilliant designer. I have been working in the fashion industry for over 25 years and now want to help others to follow their dream and get into a rewarding and diverse career.

About the lesson

Is fashion your passion? If you need help with your portfolio or getting your own fashion brand up and running I can help. My fashion consultancy business is called Pen to Peg. I have over 25 years' experience running busy design and technical departments, training staff and liaising with blue chip clients and famous designers around the World. I’ve been running online classes for the past two years “Your Brand is Born” and “Table 2 Label”. I also offer private tuition one to one and can travel to your location within reason. I have helped people go from idea to label even with no previous fashion training. Here are some of the things I teach: Building Foundations for your Brand Finding your Niche Social Media for your brand Engagement with your customers Competitor research How to present like a pro Trends Moodboards Colour Boards Creating a collection Flat tech sketching Fashion illustration Fabric knowledge How to approach a manufacturer Design Programs: Adobe Illustrator Canva I can tailor a course to suit your needs following a consultation session.
